Chasing the Green Fairy Countdown!

As I write this post, I am in final stages of editing Chasing the Green Fairy, the second novel in the Airship Racing Chronicles, in prep for the March 4th, 2014 release! Today I wanted to give you a sneak peek at the cover and share the book blurb! Lady Amber will be hosting my cover reveal for this novel on February 15th! I can't believe how soon it's coming! First, let's have a glimpse (low res, sorry) at that new cover:

Chasing the Green Fairy picks up with Lily shortly after the dramatic race in Paris. The novel is a bit more character-centric than the first book. There is still mystery and adventure, but for those of you who have come to really love Lily like I do, this book is quite the ride!

Novel blurbs are so much fun! This book has two.

Seriously, I can't decide which to go with . . . thoughts?

Blurb 1:

A sabotaged airship.

A recovering opium addict.

A messenger with life-shattering news.

With the 1824 British airship qualifying race only weeks away, Lily Stargazer is at the top of her game. She’s racing like a pro, truly in love, and living clean. But on one ill-omened day, everything changes.

Pulled head-long into the ancient secrets of the realm, Lily soon finds herself embroiled in Celtic mysteries and fairy lore. And she’s not quite sure how she got there, or even if she wants to be involved. But Lily soon finds herself chasing the spirit of the realm while putting her own ghosts to rest. And only accepting the truth--about her heart and her country--can save her.

 Blurb 2:

You can’t run from the past, even one that’s been laid to rest.

Lily Stargazer’s life had just about settled into perfect when she and her crew wake up to find someone had sabotaged their ship just weeks before the 1824 British airship qualifying race. Lily had been racing at the top of her game. Her opium addiction was behind her, and her love for Sal burned true. But on one ill-omened day, everything changes.

As the airship league spirals into corruption, Lily finds herself faced with a challenge that sends her into a realm where she must face–and accept–the truth about herself and her country if she is ever to win at anything again. Yet even these affairs are over-shadowed when a messenger arrives with life-shattering news.

In the second novel in the Airship Racing Chronicles, Karsak takes readers on a moving journey into a secret realm of Celtic lore that inspires the imagination and questions the foundation of reality.

Chasing the Green Fairy is a reference to drinking absinthe, Lily's preferred drink. The question of WHO or WHAT is the green fairy should make for an interesting quandary for the reader as they ride along with Lily and crew on this new adventure!
The Airship Racing Chronicles Book III is underway. I'll release the title of that novel in a bit :) I am considering whether or not there will be a Book IV. I haven't decided for sure. I have an idea and a title, but I don't want to stretch out the series longer than needed. We'll see. Plus, Layla and Hamletville are calling . . . and I've two projects in the works that I hope to bring you in 2014 as well!

Who is excited for March?
